When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, T每日吃瓜 is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at T每日吃瓜, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Students who want to apply for scholarships should visit the scholarship page on the Financial Aid site. You can find the link for the online application here.
The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Morrissey, Richard T. Polymer Chemistry Research and Scholarship Fund
The Richard T. Morrissey Polymer Chemistry Research and Scholarship Fund was established in 2025 through a generous estate gift received from his daughter, Nancy A. Morrissey. This endowment honors the legacy of Mr. Richard T. Morrissey (1914-1996) by providing funding to support research and scholarships in rubber chemistry within T每日吃瓜's College of Engineering and Polymer Science.
Mr. Morrissey was a chemist and inventor who spent forty years in the rubber industry at B.F. Goodrich Company. During his career, he made contributions to the development of Halogenated Rubber Compounds, Styrene Butadiene Rubber and tubeless tires, among other improvements and advancements in the tire industry. This fund honors Mr. Morrissey's memory and his lasting impact on and accomplishments in the field of rubber chemistry.
The Richard T. Morrissey Polymer Chemistry Research and Scholarship Fund shall be used to support research activities in the area of rubber chemistry, including equipment purchases, general research expenses, and scholarships for graduate-level research assistants.
Funds used for research may be applied to any research-related expense, whether incurred by the college or by students. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, on-campus housing, and meal plans. Any remaining balance after the application of such expenses shall be disbursed directly to the recipient(s). Funds used for expenses other than qualified educational expenses are reportable and may be taxable to the recipient.
The Dean of the College of Engineering and Polymer Science or his/her designee shall have sole discretion on the use of the funds.
